I was born and raised in the foothills of Boulder, CO with a social and imaginative spirit. My parents always had a film camera and I loved setting up my little sisters for photo shoots. My mother was also very particular about having our yearly birthday photos taken and family photos sessions with our local professional photographer. I have always loved beautiful portraits because my home was filled with them. All 4 years of high school I took a film photography class that included a dark room where we developed all of our film and photos.

I came to Idaho for college where I also met my husband and now our roots have been in Driggs, Idaho for 14 years. When my first child was born, my craving to capture all the moments was put back into my heart and that was when this business started to take form. My husband and I now have 6 children and becoming a mother increased my urgency to capture every memory, every detail and every event. I almost have a fear of missing those moments because time is so fleeting. Babies don’t keep, toddlers don’t keep and I hear teenagers don’t keep as well. So even when I’m not professionally shooting, you can still find me toting around my large camera, documenting our crazy, wild, and beautiful life we’ve created.

Motherhood has been everything and then nothing that I imagined, but it is one of my most precious gifts. Yet this blessing of motherhood is so fleeting and that is what drives my passion for capturing these moments. I truly adore the bonds and intimate ties parents and families have together and there has never been a session I don’t leave feeling inspired and appreciative for being able to witness a family as they are. I would be so honored to spend an evening with your family and capture your connections as they unfold and provide you with images that you’ll be able to treasure forever.
