Boulder, Colodrado Wedding | Mike + Ashtyn | Jessica Calderwood Photography

I was asked by these two to travel to Boulder, Colorado for their August wedding! We were able to kick off the wedding festivities with one of my favorite things to do, the First Look! For those of you who don’t know what a “first look” is, it is when the couple gets to see each other for the first time in their wedding attire. It can be done the day of the wedding, but Mike and Ashtyn chose to do it the night before so we could do it at a different location than their wedding. They chose the beauitful flatiron mountains as the backdrop right next to Chautauqua Park! The lighting was perfect, and the view was breathtaking! And these two looking amazing as well. I love doing the first look because it is such an intimate time where the couple is all by themselves and get to enjoy seeing each other and soak it up. I grew up outside of Boulder, so this spot is a special place to me as well and I loved being able to photograph this great couple here. Next up, their wedding day!
